Conservation and information are extremely important to the sportfishing industry. The ANXIOUS FISHING TEAM supports tag and release, depending on the condition of the fish.
ANXIOUS is a 33' Bertram, designed for the serious fisherman, as well as the first-time angler, with a spacious cockpit and an air-conditioned cabin. ANXIOUS has been recentely repowered with twin 315 HP Yanmar diesel engines, which provide a quiet and comfortable ride. The ANXIOUS is equipped with the latest in electronics and top-of-the-line tackle. Captain Neal Isaacs invites you to fish the famous Kona Coast of Hawaii, with its calm, deep blue waters, aboard the ANXIOUS. Your big game fishing adventure might include a 1,000 pound Pacific Blue Marlin, a majestic Black Marlin, the feisty Striped Marlin, the rare (except in Kona) Short-Billed Spearfish, and the occasional Pacific Sailfish. World-class Ahi (Yellowfin Tuna - 100 pounds plus), Ono (Wahoo), and the colorful Mahi Mahi are prevalent if table fare is your preference. The ANXIOUS FISHING TEAM's professional and friendly crew guarantee to do everything possible to catch you a trophy fish.
1022.5 BLUE MARLIN WOMAN'S WORLD RECORD/UN-OFFICIAL
The monster blue marlin crashed a Marlin Magic Ruckus lure at 10:10 Saturday morning, some 5 & 1/2 hours later the 1022.5 pound blue marlin was a aboard the charter boat ANXIOUS.
Molly Palmer was in the fighting chair for more than 4 hours with 90 pounds of drag on the reel before she was totally exhausted and had to have help. Because she had to have help the marlin will not qualify as an official woman's world record which would better the existing record of 950 pounds by 72.5 pounds. It took 5 male crewmen another 1 & 1/2 hours to get the huge marlin to the surface and in the boat.
The Anxious fishing team believes in playing by the strict IGFA rules and did not even consider claiming the official world record. Sad not to have the official world record, absolutely not, a world class celebration honoring a great fish that evening, and back fishing the next day looking for the next GRANDER.
